Director, Research & Development, RKG Group of Institutions Message

Dr. Laxman Prasad, Director, R & D and Professor, an eminent Scientist obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1970 and Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering in 1976 from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He also obtained LL.B. with specialization in International Law and Intellectual Property Rights from Delhi University in 1988. He started his professional career with All India Radio in the year 1973 at Kolkata as Assistant Station Engineer and later became Research Officer. He, subsequently joined the Deptt. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India in 1979 as Senior Scientific Officer (Grade-1) and rose to the position of Advisor & Head (Technology Development) in 1992. He served the Govt. till July 2010. During this period, he chaired many committees and travelled across the continents for participation in various international meetings and conferences and delivered a number of invited lectures across the country.

Research and Development is an integral part of all the institutions of the Group that exposes the faculty and the students to the latest developments in their respective fields and also provides them the opportunity to interact with the experts across the country. The institutions of the Group have the distinction of implementing various schemes sponsored by the Deptt. of S&T and Min. of Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt of India in the field of Rainwater Harvesting, Water Mission, INSPIRE, Intellectual Property Rights and Entrepreneurship.
