Program Outcomes

1. Pharmacy Knowledge:

Possess knowledge and comprehension of the core and basic knowledge associated with the profession of pharmacy, including biomedical sciences; pharmaceutical sciences; behavioral, social, and administrative pharmacy sciences; and manufacturing practices.

Demonstrate effective planning abilities including time management, resource management, delegation skills and organizational skills. Develop and implement plans and organize work to meet deadlines.

Utilize the principles of scientific enquiry, thinking analytically, clearly and critically, while solving problems and making decisions during daily practice. Find, analyze, evaluate and apply information systematically and shall make defensible decisions.

Learn select, and apply appropriate methods and procedures, resources, and modern pharmacy-related computing tools with an understanding of the limitations.

Understand and consider the human reaction to change, motivation issues, leadership and team-building when planning changes required for fulfillment of practice, professional and societal responsibilities. Assume participatory roles as responsible citizens or leadership roles when appropriate to facilitate improvement in health and well-being.

Understand, analyze and communicate the value of their professional roles in society (e.g. health care professionals, promoters of health, educators, managers, employers, employees).

Honor Personal Values and apply ethical principles in professional and social contexts. Demonstrate behavior that recognizes cultural and personal variability in values, communication and lifestyles. Use ethical frameworks; apply ethical principles while making decisions and take responsibility for the outcomes associated with the decision.

Founder Message

The mission of RKGIT (Pharmacy) is to advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology, and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century. Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology (Pharmacy), Ghaziabad, established in 2004, is a self financing institute under the registered trust Raj Kumar Goel Educational Foundations.

Chairman's Message

In the year 2000, our Founder Chairman Late Sri Raj Kumar Goel ji laid the foundation of this premier institute with a vision to provide value based technical education and to create a congenial environment for the overall development of the students, faculty and staff members. I feel very happy to see that while fulfilling this vision, RKGIT (Pharmacy) has grown impressively, in both size and reputation and has become the preferred choice for many among all other self-financing institutes affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (Formerly UPTU, Lucknow).

RKGIT (Pharmacy) is one of the pioneer institutes providing quality technical education in NCR. It is affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (Formerly UPTU, Lucknow). The students and parents, today are extremely conscious and selective not only in choosing the course of study but also the place of study. RKGIT (Pharmacy) has proved its worthiness to them. Advisor, RKG Group of Institutions Message

Dr. Laxman Prasad, Advisor& Professor, an eminent Scientist obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1970 and Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering in 1976 from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He also obtained LL.B. with specialization in International Law and Intellectual Property Rights from Delhi University in 1988. He started his professional career with All India Radio in the year 1973 at Kolkata as Assistant Station Engineer and later became Research Officer. He, subsequently joined the Deptt. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India in 1979 as Senior Scientific Officer (Grade-1) and rose to the position of Advisor & Head (Technology Development) in 1992. He served the Govt. till July 2010. During this period, he chaired many committees and travelled across the continents for participation in various international meetings and conferences and delivered a number of invited lectures across the country.

Dr. D. K. Chauhan, Executive Director,holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and had done his Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering 2011. He is an active member of technical committee of MOBICONA, GSTF Singapore. He has been awarded as best Director 2017 by Indian Institute of Material Management (IIMM) Kolkata. Published more than 60 research papers & authored five books. He has also registered patent on composite materials.

Message

The Pharmaceutical industry is one of the fastest growing sectors of both the domestic and global sectors of economy. The pharmaceutical market in India is likely to triple in the next decade and is expected to outshine any other industry in terms of growth. In the Post-GATT era India is becoming a preferred destination for contract manufacturing for pharmaceuticals and clinical trials. The recently circulated vision 2020 document for Pharmaceutical Industry states that by the year 2020 pharmaceutical market is anticipated to grow to USD 1.3 trillion with E-7 countries- Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia and Turkey accounting for one fifth of this share. This document also focuses on the need of total health care packages and direct to consumer distribution channels, in addition to focus on R & D in the areas if drugs and drug delivery systems. This would require an unprecedented number of well qualified and trained pharmacists to achieve these goals and changing markets.

Pharmacy profession contour are changing and there has been shift from manufacturing to clinical Trials, Pharmaceutical product detailing, pharmacovigilance, bioinformatics and many more. Pharmacist being a prescriber to health advisor, analyzer, researcher, innovator, and scientist achieves all these dreams at Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology (Pharmacy).

The RKGIT (Pharmacy) aims to impart high quality education and training to its students to make them technologically prepared to face the challenges and provide innovative solutions to the medical problems facing the community.
